Summary

Mature oak trees can bring shade and beauty, but they sometimes pose risks when branches become damaged or die off. This project focused on two large oaks near a garage, where the goal was to reduce the chance of falling limbs during storms by removing dead and crossing branches.

The Work

Inspected two oaks near the back right corner of the garage for dead, damaged, or crossing limbs
Pruned out larger dead wood to reduce hazards
Removed crossing branches to promote healthy growth and better structure

The Outcome

The garage and yard are now safer from falling branches, especially during high winds. Both oaks are set up for stronger, healthier growth as spring approaches.
